Chris Canning ... a Life to Emulate

One of our essential needs as social beings is to BELONG. The alternative is to ESCAPE.

Everyone needs to BELONG ... to be a part of something, to be accepted, and to contribute. If we don't find a positive social setting (where members contibute to each other's well being), we are likly to be drawn into and join a negative social setting - a gang or cult - where the members are supportive of each other, but in negative, even criminal ways.

The alternative to BELONGING is ESCAPING (i.e., withdrawing from society). That's the path to alcohol and drugs.

Chris Canning, at a very young age was fully engaged with life. In the process, he achieved an incredible number of honors and awards. He was a rather shy young man, never bragging or showing off – too engaged for all of that. But many others have recognized his talent, his energy, his accomplishment. Chris's accomplishments and the accolades he has received are displayed here, not for Chris's benefit, but for whoever reads this ... to be encouraged, to be challenged, to be motivated to be FULLY ENGAGED in bettering themselves and in helping others do the same. Chris Canning BELONGED. You can, too.
